“Mmm… good morning Sid,” she mumbled sleepily.
“I’m sorry for falling asleep last night.”
“Oh… that’s okay.”
“I’ll make it up to you,” I promised, and kissed her on her cheek as she smiled and closed her eyes, nuzzling her head into the pillow.
I was going to make it up to Carrie. And I wasn’t going to wait…
